Volunteer Opportunities

Members and non-members welcome! Please contact Urszula Masny-Latos at (617)227-7335 or nlgmass-director@igc.org to get involved in any of the following:

• Grantwriting and other fundraising, brainstorm new ways to raise money, help with annual raffle, solicit raffle donors, organize fund-raising events
  
  
• Serve on a Policy Watch Committee: criminal justice, labor, immigration, housing, civil rights, or international issues, to help formulate and write press releases and speak to the press
  
  
• Street Law Clinics: Landlord/Tenant, Stop and Search, Workers' Rights, Civil Disobedience, lawyers to assist law students at clinic presentations, law students to do the clinics, community volunteer to do community outreach to new organizations and maintain contact with current organizations
  
  
• Mass Dissent: serve as editor for one issue, solicit articles, type non-emailed material, help proof read, help with mailing
  
  
• Dinner Committee: participate in all aspects of dinner planning, edit dinner journal, help with ad solicitations, help with mailings
  
  
• Office work: data entry, editing, mailings and general office work, particularly for monthly newsletter and yearly Testimonial Dinner
  
  
• Law student organizer: help maintain contact with law student chapters, organize annual Fall Lecture Series, help students organize events at their schools
