Family Law and Domestic Relations
Does family law cover the problem that I am having?
Family law covers a number of issues involving family members including:
- Divorce modification
- Child Custody
- Child Support
- Child Visitation
- Department of Children and Families (DCF)
- Domestic Violence
- Restraining Orders
The attorneys on our panel are aware that these issues are sensitive in nature and can work with you in order to ensure that you receive the help and support that you need. Divorces and custody battles are emotionally taxing. Having a licensed attorney who specializes in family law can make you feel certain that your interests and rights are being protected.
In addition to affordable rates, some of the attorneys on our panel are also certified to provide Limited Assistance Representation (LAR). With Limited Assistance Representation, an attorney is able to help you with part of your case. Rather than being charged for an attorney to work on your entire case from start to finish, an attorney can help you with the portion of your case that is most needed and only bill you for that portion of the case.
Offering Limited Assistance Representation is beneficial for clients with low-income who are able to handle the majority of their legal proceedings on their own. An example of taking advantage of Limited Assistance Representation would be having an attorney accompany you during your one day in court. The benefit of Limited Assistance Representation to our clients is that it can help you save money and still receive the legal representation that you require.
We have a select number of attorneys who are also able to work with military families, domestic violence, restraining orders, and families who have children with disabilities.
