Become a Chapter Sustainer

In 2003 the Massachusetts Chapter of the NLG initiated a new Chapter Sustainer Program. We encourage you to join the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild to support our work and be connected with the progressive legal community. You will become part of a legal, personal, and political support network providing social and professional contacts.

Benefits

When you join the Massachusetts Chapter of the NLG, you receive:

• Mass Dissent
  the Chapter's newsletter that each month focuses on an issue of interest to the progressive legal community. It also will keep you informed about Guild activities, projects and events.
  
  
• Lawyer Referral Service
  you will be eligible to join the Mass Chapter's Lawyer Referral Service through which you can receive cases in your interest areas, develop skills, and build your practice.
  
  
• Membership benefits of the National Lawyers Guild
  including a subscription to our quarterly news magazine "Guild Notes," our quarterly legal journal "Guild Practitioner," our annual Referral Directory, and discounts to our annual convention and national publications. You'll gain access to the nation's leading legal resources, such as NLG-Interact, our national listserv, a Mass Defense legal brief bank, a wide range of multi-topic committees, and a network of highly respected lawyers and legal workers in the country. Perhaps you will join one of our international delegations or help write one of our amicus briefs.
  

Dues

Membership dues are based on income levels, and may be paid in quarterly installments. No one will be denied membership because of inability to pay. Members of minority legal organizations may pay half the dues indicated below.

Become a Chapter Sustainer

In the spring of this year, the Massachusetts Chapter of the NLG initiated a new Chapter Sustainer Program.

Since its inception, the Program has been very successful and has been enthusiastically joined by the following Guild members: Jason Adkins; Jane Alper; Melinda Drew & Jeff Feuer; Neil Berman; Howard Friedman; Lee Goldstein; Benjie Hiller; David Hoffman; Steven Hrones; Martin Kantrovitz; Nancy Kelly & John Willshire-Carrera; David Kelston; Judith Liben; Petrucelly & Nadler; Kurt Pressman; Sharryn Ross; Ann Sills & Howard Silverman; Judy Somberg; and Stern, Shapiro, Weissberg, & Garin.

This is one of the most important initiatives the Chapter has undertaken to secure its future existence. Please consider joining the Program. We need you for the strong and active Guild!
