Guild Mentorship Program in Full Swing!
The NLG Massachusetts Chapter Mentorship Program is doing really well thanks to the efforts of the many volunteers who have come forward to participate. Many very busy lawyers and law students have carved time out of their busy schedules to form mentoring relationships.
This year, the Program hosted two parties – in February at Felt and in October at Revolution Rock Bar; both events were very well attended. Several new mentees and mentors signed up, bringing the number of people in the program up to around 30. We have generally paired people up based on areas of practice and interest. One concern with the program is the number of mentors – the ratio of mentees to mentors is about 2:1, so we would love to see more mentors get involved – we don’t want to turn any mentees away!
If you would like to participate and be a mentor or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Laura Alfring (laura.alfring@gmail.com) & Mary Lu Mendonça (marylumendonca@yahoo.com).
